Hillbilly Willy

Gonna tell you a story, I swear that it is so.

Once you hear the story, you’ll remember how it goes.

This dog he lived in Elroy, backwoods where it’s hilly,

He was missing some teeth, known as Hillbilly Willy.

He was a little fellow, ‘bout half way to my knee,

A friendly little K-9, cordial as can be.

No one really knows to what breed he did belong,

Little head, short legs, and a tail way too long.

Hillbilly Willy liked to live on his own,

Always had plenty of food, water, and bones.

Not really sure just how he came to be,

But everybody loved him, it’s plain to see.

The girl dogs they loved and chased him all around,

Fathered lots of puppies, all over town.

When he smiled, and those teeth were gone,

It seemed his charm turned it’s self on.

Hillbilly Willy is a legend in those parts,

The little dog who won everyone’s heart.

Hillbilly Willy with his toothless grin,

I would love to see my old friend again.
