The perfect Italian wedding. Letizia Gonnelli and Ray Diddens September 9, 2007 |
The day began at the couple’s home in the northern region of Italy near Verona. They rent a flat in this 400 year old farm complex. |
Letizia arrived at the church in a Classic Fiat 500 driven by her father Andrea. This is the same kind of car he owned when he married his wife Anna many years ago. |
The wedding was held in a 13th century Catholic church in the mountains of Italy. The weather was perfect and the church was filled with family, friends, and love. |
Letizia was escorted down the aisle by her Father. It was a very proud moment in the Gonnelli family. Letizia wore a beautiful long flowing gown and had a glow of happiness and love all around her. |
After the service which included several songs and readings by family members and friends, the new couple headed out in the tiny car. What a great start to a life together!! |
Later in the evening, the wedding party, family and friends all joined at a wonderful reception for Ray and Letizia. The reception was held in the court yard of their farm complex. There was great food and fun for all. Entertainment was provided by a street band from Rome. The happy couple were very pleased so many people they care about were able to share their day. |
Of course while in Italy, Ray’s proud father, Dale, had plenty of good food. What would a trip to Italy be without pizza? |
