I Lived with Superman Original composition by Dale When I was just a little boy, Long before I became a man. I loved my puppy and my toys, And I lived with Superman My Dad was not a super hero Like the ones in comic books. But he was always there for me, He did what ever it took. He was faster than a speeding bullet, When taking care of me. If I was hurt, sad or alone, He would speed to be with me. He was stronger than a freight train, When watching out for me. If I was scared or threatened, He was standing next to me. He could leap tall buildings, in order to save me, If I was in pain or trouble, Nothing could keep him from me. Now I’m blessed with my own kids. Looking back I understand, Why he did the things he did. I’m glad I lived with Superman. |
