Early in the year 2005 Rob Hendrickson

of CROSS CUT thought it would be a good idea

to give the band’s listeners an avenue to support

St. Jude’s of Memphis Tennessee.

The band began asking for donations

during each show and in a matter of just a few months, donated $400 to St. Jude’s via the

Q98.5 radio-a-thon in Rockford, ILL.

Since then the band has made the donation jar a part of the shows. CROSS CUT has been very lucky to have fans, listeners, and club owners who are willing to help the cause.  In 2006 after the first full year of contributions, the band donated $2200 to the cause. 2007 the total was $500 and 2008 had a total of $600 .                                     The band also performed at both of the             St. Jude Benefits at Cherokee’s Pub in Freeport.

Nothing would make the band happier than to be able to retire the donation bottle with a cure for the kids. But until that day, Cross Cut will continue to ask for donations.
