Text Box: HAPPY IN MY HEAD

original composition by Dale 1998

They can tax me until there’s nothing left,
Pluck the hairs out of my chest.
They can take away my Prozac pills,
Try to make me weak and ill.

They can leave me hanging by my thumbs,
Twist my arm until it’s numb.
They can lock me in a padded room,
Knock me around with a shovel or broom.

They can send me to the county jail,
Tell me that there is no bail.
They can fit me for two cement shoes,
Or just wake me from my daily snooze.

It doesn’t matter what they do,
Call me names and hurt me too.
It doesn’t matter what was said.
I’m always happy in my head.
