The Legend of Fat Jack Original composition by Dale Diddens This is the legend of the trucker Fat Jack, Story starts in Loran, started way back. Jack was known to party, tip back a few, Loved to laugh and party with the locals that he knew. When he was at the tavern, the Slurp and Burp it’s called, The Budweiser was flowing, Fat Jack paid for it all. Jack was a working man but always had a smile, Said there’s nothing wrong with getting drunk once in awhile. Now Jack was a tough guy, could kick your ass for you, But he’d rather share a laugh, maybe drink a Bud or two. One night when he was drinking and dancing at the bar, He got a little crazy and backed up way too far. Tripped over the bands speaker, landed on his can, Bumped the lead singer and broke off his mic stand. The band just kept on playing, the show it must go on, Jack stood up, took a bow, and finished dancing to the song. He doesn’t have to worry about getting home alive, He never has a drink and then decides he needs to drive. When he has had enough and knows it’s time to go, Walks across the parking lot cause the house next door is home. Next time that you’re in Loran, maybe stop and have a brew, Ask about this story, they’ll tell you that it’s true. Budweiser and the Slurp and Burp, they are the perfect match, To support the man, the legend, the one they call Fat Jack. |
