This little story is written about my little friend Brownie. Brownie went to doggie heaven July 07, but she will always be my Easter Egg. Original composition by Shelly D I have a pretty Easter egg, My Easter egg has four legs. I got her about fifteen years ago, Who would have known I could love her so. She loves to eat and sleep a lot, She is the prettiest egg I ever got. I know she would like to run and play, But she doesn’t feel that good today. I love my little Easter egg, Even though she can’t run and play that way. She may not be able to hear, But she knows I am always near. It’s been a long time since she could bark, But one thing’s for sure, she is very smart. She is getting to be that age they say, For her to leave me and be on her way. The vets all say she’s a miracle you know, And she will let me know when it’s her time to go. She sits down and can’t always get up, Wonders into corners and sometimes gets stuck. If we are together or far apart, We are always in each others heart. She will go to heaven some sad day, And wait for me to be on my way. When we are together again someday, Again she will eat, run and play. We know the dreaded day will come sometime, But little Brownie Boomer Easter Egg will always be mine. Brownie Boomer 1992-2007 |
